Adventureland is an amusement park located in Farmingdale, Long Island, New York. It was founded in 1962 by Jimmy Carchietta, and has since become a popular attraction for families and thrill-seekers in the area. Located on Rt. 110 in Farmingdale, Adventureland is perfectly located on the Nassau Suffolk Border just south of the Long Island Expressway at exit 49. Southern State Exit 32N and Northern State Exit 40.
Adventureland began as a small park with just a few rides, including a merry-go-round, a train, and a few kiddie rides. However, as the park grew in popularity, so did its offerings. Today, Adventureland boasts over 30 rides, attractions, and games, including roller coasters, water rides, and arcade games.
One of the park’s most iconic attractions is the Turbulence roller coaster, which was added in 2015. It is a steel coaster that reaches speeds of up to 55 miles per hour and features inversions, twists, and drops.
Over the years, Adventureland has also hosted numerous concerts and events, including performances by bands such as The Beach Boys, The Jonas Brothers, and Demi Lovato.
In addition to its rides and attractions, Adventureland is known for its food offerings, which include classic carnival fare such as cotton candy, popcorn, and funnel cakes, as well as more substantial options such as burgers and pizza.
